Jane Goodall Institute

Challenge

Solution:

This international scientific and educational group conducted a strategic planning exercise to evaluate its future when its charismatic and renowned leader retires. Capacity Partners was hired to evaluate the group's capacity for raising funds to sustain its work. We prepared the Institute for high-end donor cultivation with a major gift program at the top of its agenda. Working with two vendors of data mining services, we designed and implemented an exhaustive assessment of the giving capacity of its supporters. Out of 100,000 plus members, Capacity Partners identified 2,000 top donor prospects. We created a framework for an ambitious campaign based on intense cultivation of these key donors.

"Working with Capacity Partners was absolutely wonderful. In the infancy of our legacy campaign, Mary Robinson provided in-depth research and analysis and insightful strategic direction. She became part of our team and gave us the confidence to move forward with our ambitious goals."

Lindsay Hance Kosnik, Vice President for Development, The Jane Goodall Institute
